The Los Alamos National Laboratory’s substation that feeds the Los Alamos townsite lost power as of 7:42 p.m. Friday evening. Power was out until 9:52p.m. as LANL crews investigated and fixed the problem.

Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities electric linemen were on standby and began re-energizing the townsite one circuit at time, according to DPY Public Information Officer Julie Williams-Hill.
