I want to thank Los Alamos County voters for their ongoing support of our schools. I am asking you to continue your support by voting YES on the School District Mill Levy. Your YES vote will re-authorize an essential funding stream for our schools. 

Because over 90% of school funding comes from the state, this mill levy is one of the few ways for the community to supplement revenue to maintain our excellent schools

Can you imagine how much more difficult remote learning would have been without Chromebooks or iPads for every student? Because of the generosity of Los Alamos voters, we were able to shift to online learning quickly at the start of the pandemic. This mill levy funds these kinds of technology purchases among other things like playgrounds and furniture.

Residents in District 3 (Aspen) and District 1 (Pinon) may feel like they do not have a compelling reason to vote this year. However, we need you to come out and support the School Mill Levy. In addition, every Los Alamos voter gets to choose UNM-LA Advisory Board Members for each of the three at large seats.
