COUNTY NEWS RELEASE

Los Alamos County has a collection of 140 pieces of public art  throughout the County, which sit on public land or in facilIties, that residents and visItors may not recognize as public art. To help remedy this situation, the Art in Public Places (APP) Board  along with Los Alamos County staff have been working to complete a website that identifies the  Los Alamos County Public Art Collection.

The wait is over, visitors and residents of Los Alamos will now be able to know where Public  Art resides within Los Alamos County with the help of Public Art Archive, an online and mobile  database of public artworks. This website hosts the entire collection within Los Alamos County  with desciptions, pictures, and directions to locations. The APP Board would like to encourage  everyone to visit the site and learn about the amazing works and artists within the collection.

The Los Alamos County Public Art Archive can be directly accessed by the following link:  https://www.publicartarchive.org/los-alamos-county-public-art/ or through the Los Alamos  County Community Services website, under Boards and Commissions, Art in Public Places.
