Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez Announces Congressional App Challenge For Middle And High School Students

Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernández announced Friday that her office will begin taking submissions for the 2021 Congressional App Challenge, a competition designed to promote innovation and inspire student engagement in computer science, coding, and technology. 

“I know our students’ creativity and innovation will inspire some amazing apps and I can’t wait to be amazed. I encourage all middle and high school students, no matter their skill level, to participate in this year’s challenge,” said Leger Fernández. “Our panel of judges are eager to see what our students are capable of creating and I look forward to cheering on all of our contestants.” 

Beginning today, students can submit their app through the site’s portal at https://www.congressionalappchallenge.us. Submissions will be accepted until Monday, November 1 and is open to all middle and high school students who live and/or attend school in New Mexico’s Third District.
