Los Alamos High School Principal Carter Payne issued a statement Thursday evening noting where things stand with regarding an investigation by Los Alamos Public Schools into an email sent to local media alleging issues with two LAHS girls softball coaches.
“Los Alamos Public Schools takes all reports of bullying seriously. We have conducted an investigation into the recent concerns that were raised regarding the LAHS Softball team culture and leadership. We have sought additional feedback from members of the team and coaching staff, have addressed student and staff concerns directly, as appropriate, and have closed the investigation. LAHS Athletic Director Ann Stewart will work with the coaching staff, players, and parents on a positive, constructive end to the season. We are confident in the coaches’ ability to lead this team moving forward,” Payne said.

As noted, in the story, “The Los Alamos Reporter has been contacted by parents who say they wish to make it clear that ‘not all the players are authors of the email and therefore it should not have been signed as such’.”
