Exhibit To Celebrate Los Alamos Concert Association’s Long History Opens May 1

An exhibit celebrating the Los Alamos Concert Association’s 75-year history opens on May 1 in the Step Up Gallery on the top level of Mesa Public Library, 2400 Central Avenue.

Since 1946, Los Alamos Concert Association (LACA) has presented a classical concert series featuring artists who have made a name for themselves in great concert halls around the globe. The exhibit will chronicle how LACA grew up with the community and highlight the many world-renowned artists it has presented.

The exhibit includes material related to LACA’s community and school outreach activities plus a look at the volunteers and community partners working behind the scenes to bring great music to Los Alamos.

The exhibit will run through June 20.  Currently, Mesa Public Library and the Step Up Gallery are open for in-person visits from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and on Saturday 10: a.m. to 5 p.m. Please consult the Mesa Public Library website for updates to that schedule: www.losalamoslibrary.org  or call (505) 662-8250. Go to Step Up Gallery’s new website for more information about the exhibit: www.stepupgallery.org
