Rose Pruning Workshop Now Slated For Saturday, April 24

LOS ALAMOS GARDEN CLUB NEWS

The Los Alamos Garden Club annual rose pruning workshop originally scheduled for last Saturday, has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday. April 24. The public is invited to attend the event which is led by Carlos Valdez with the Los Alamos County Extension Office and will be held in the Memorial Rose Garden.

This is an excellent workshop for anyone interested in learning how to properly prune roses. Valdez will teach attendees how to prune, clean and care for the roses.  Participants should wear long sleeve shirts and long pants. Gloves will be necessary and if you have pruners bring them.  It will also be helpful if you have a bucket to put cuttings in.

No registration is necessary and there is no fee but we will still need to wear masks and social distance.  We hope to see many of you there! For information, please contact Judy Handy at (505) 470-7644.
