PEEC NEWS

Join the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) for Earth Day Your Way, sponsored by Los Alamos Children’s Dentistry! This year, PEEC is challenging you to get outside and moving YOUR WAY to celebrate Earth. Run a 5K, take a hike, plant a garden, watch the birds in your backyard, observe the night sky, or spend time outdoors however you prefer starting on Earth Day, which is April 22, until the end of April. Then, tell PEEC all about your adventures and what you love about the Earth! Use the hashtag #EarthDayYourWay on social media or send photos to publicity@peecnature.org.

Register for the challenge now at peecnature.org/events! Participants will get a special t-shirt featuring the Vertical Mile of diversity on the Pajarito Plateau to show that they participated in the Earth Day Your Way challenge. You can even register your dog, who will get a special bandana to wear on your adventure! Registration closes on Sunday, April 4 at 10 p.m. You can pick up your challenge t-shirts and bandanas on Friday, April 23 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. or Sunday, April 25 from 1 – 5 p.m. at the Los Alamos Nature Center, located at 2600 Canyon Rd. Admission is $20 per adult, $15 per child, and $5 per dog.

How ever you decide to spend time outdoors, be sure to follow current COVID safe practices in your area.
