Pajarito Mountain will be opening its cafe for regular hours beginning Thursday. The cafe will be open Wednesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. featuring exclusively outdoor seating and a variety of treats from Pajarito Cafe’s revamped menu.

The Pajarito Mountain Cafe features an outdoor deck with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Guests are invited to enjoy naturally physically distanced outdoor seating and can bring their own alcoholic beverages to enjoy while they sample Pajarito Cafe’s offerings. The snow around the lodge also provides a great playground for children.

Because of unseasonably warm and dry weather conditions, Pajarito Mountain has not yet been able to open for winter sports operations.

“We are prepping the mountain and making every effort to open as soon as we can,” said Tom Long, Director of Mountain Operations at Pajarito. “We’ve had very little natural snowfall this year, and our snowmaking capabilities act as an adjunct to natural snow. We cannot open the mountain with just snowmaking.”

Pajarito’s retail store will also be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the mountain has a new landing page on its website where customers can peruse merchandise and order it for curbside pickup or delivery by mail. Guests should visit www.pajarito.ski/retail for more information.
