3rd Annual Horns For Hope Fundraiser Is Underway

COMMUNITY NEWS

Cory Miller and Shawn Amburgey are hosting the 3rd Annual Horns for Hope fundraiser for families in the community who are struggling to get by.

“We use the money raised to pay for late utility bills, car repairs, toys, meals for the holidays and more. We raise the money through donations to our GoFundMe page and through the sale of antlers!” Miller said. The GoFundMe page is at https://www.gofundme.com/f/horn-for-hope.

Amburgey buys antlers from people in the community and puts the money made from those antlers into the collection.

“Both of us are from Los Alamos and we very well know what it is like to not have much around the holidays, or to have to support families on tight budgets. The money we raise can be a big help,” Miller said. “With everything 2020 has thrown at us with COVID and people losing jobs, we want to do our part and help help as many people as we can to have a better holiday season.”

He said it is important to outdoorsmen such as Amburgey and himself to give back to the communities that have helped them become the people they are today. He thanked the community in advance for their generosity.
