The Los Alamos Police Department would like to thank Zia Credit Union in Los Alamos for their generous donation to Special Olympics New Mexico! Zia Credit Union donated $500.00 dollars to Special Olympics to sponsor a month within the 2021 Law Enforcement Torch Run Heroes Calendar which features a different New Mexico police officer and a Special Olympic athlete for each month.  LAPD will be featured within the calendar for the month of September.  All proceeds from the calendar sales will go towards Special Olympics New Mexico.

“We at LAPD understand the financial strains our community and small businesses are facing this year and the fact that businesses like Zia Credit Union are still supporting non-profit organizations makes this donation all the more special,” said LAPD Cmdr. Morris.

The 2021 LETR Heroes Calendar goes on sale Dec. 1 and can be purchased on-line for $20.00 at https://special-olympics-new-mexico.square.site/ or you can visit the Special Olympics Facebook page at:  https://ne-np.facebook.com/SpecialOlympicsNM/posts/10158765168770040
