COUNTY NEWS
Because of the Governor’s amended public health order, which takes effect today, access to services within the Municipal Building will be curtailed for the next two weeks. Although the building’s doors will remain unlocked for individuals to enter the building, interior suites doors will be locked.
Citizens who need services from the various offices within the building should call and make an appointment, and are asked to limit interactions with staff to only urgent, essential County business.
Customer care center windows will be closed; please call Customer Care representatives with questions at (505) 662-8333. Those who need to pay property tax bills or utility bills are urged to make payments using online payment functions, the drop box, or through Enterprise Bank & Trust.Â
The closure is in accordance with the Governor’s directives for all businesses to greatly curtail and limit access, in an effort to combat the surge of COVID-19 in Los Alamos County. Similar to the beginning of the pandemic in March, the County will return to having limited staffing in all offices, and officials ask for the public’s patience and support for the next two weeks.
