Level 1 Fire Restrictions For Los Alamos County Lifted As Of Thursday

Los Alamos Fire Department’s Fire Marshal Wendy Servey announced today that she is rescinding Level 1 Fire Restrictions for Los Alamos County, effective Thursday, Nov. 12.

“We are fortunate that Los Alamos has received some significant moisture from snow storms in the past week, and more moisture is expected throughout the region,” Servey said.

Servey thanked the community for their cooperation and emphasized a need for continued vigilance in properly attending to and dousing campfires to prevent wildfires.

Santa Fe National Forest also plans to rescind Stage 1 fire restrictions on national forest lands on Thursday.
