LAPS FOUNDATION NEWS
Every semester, Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation awards thousands of dollars in grants to teachers in our community. These grants help fund innovative ideas, needed training and collaboration with other teachers. Teachers often need resources that public schools funding doesn’t stretch far enough to provide. LAPS Foundation brings our community together to invest in and improve the local schools so Los Alamos students receive an excellent education.
Our Fall grant cycle is now open. Teachers at LAPS may apply for:
- Great Ideas Grants;
- Professional Development Grants; and
- Professional Book Group Grants.
School looks different this year; however, the Foundation’s support hasn’t changed. Our community raised over $30,000 in the last two months to help students and teachers have a successful year of learning, even in the midst of a pandemic. If you’re a teacher, apply for a grant by September 30th! If you know a teacher, tell them to apply (after you’ve thanked them for everything they do!). All licensed LAPS teachers may apply online at: https://lapsfoundation.com/educators/apply-for-a-grant/
