LOS ALAMOS ARTS COUNCIL NEWS
On April 21 Los Alamos Arts Council announced the cancellation of the physical May 2 Arts and Crafts Fair due to the restrictions by the New Mexico Governor’s Office. To support our vendors who would appear in the fair, and to continue to provide a shopping experience for the Los Alamos Community, LAAC has created a Virtual Craft Fair.
Patrons who visit our website https://losalamosartscouncil.org/may-2nd-and-3rd-virtual-craft-fair/ on May 2 and May 3 will see a list of our Craft Fair vendors who have offered free shipping or discounts to patrons who shop that weekend. The website will go live at midnight on May 2, and be up through 11:59 pm on the May 3.
Multiple vendors have joined the Virtual Craft Fair, and many are offering free shipping or discounts on merchandise for the weekend, and some even longer! Los Alamos Arts Council feels that it is critical to support our vendors during these difficult times. COVID-19 has caused many fairs across the nation to cancel, and small vendors are struggling. The Virtual Fair is a fantastic opportunity to shop for something for Mom for Mother’s Day, coming up on May 10, or get something for yourself that you’ve always wanted!
