Travel through the universe using music as a vehicle in a one-of-a-kind planetarium show at the Los Alamos Nature Center on Friday, March 13 at 7 p.m. Classical guitarist and physicist Mohit Dubey is back at the nature center by popular demand and will take listeners on a journey using full-dome visuals paired with classical guitar music in his performance “The Universe in Six Strings.”
Dubey grew up in Los Alamos and recently completed his Masters degree in Spain. From original compositions inspired by the beauty of nature, to the mathematical elegance of J.S. Bach, to the physics-inspired suite by an American living composer, the audience will be swept along on an immersive journey from the smallest particles to the largest galaxies. This is a planetarium show that is not to be missed!
“As a physicist and a musician, I have always sought ways to unite these two worlds into one. In this performance, I hope to share both the beauty of the universe and the sound of the classical guitar with the audience in a way they have never imagined,” Dubey said of the show.
There are only 60 seats in the nature center’s planetarium and this program will be popular and is likely to sell out. Please reserve your tickets for this show in advance by calling the Los Alamos Nature Center at 505-662-0460 or stopping by during business hours. Admission is $10 per adult and $6 per child.
