Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon, the main level of the Betty Ehart Senior Center will be abuzz with activity.
The Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization (LARSO) will host some senior vendors and small businesses, as they hope to raise a lot of holiday spirit and a little holiday cash.
The center, which is located at 1101 Bathtub Row behind Mesa Public Library, also welcomes those who would like to pop in and check out the facility to see what they have to offer or pick up the December newsletter a bit early.
“We’ll have nametags on the Be a Santa to a Senior tree from Home Instead and welcome the donation of gift wrap or gift bags, for wrapping day in December,” LARSO director r Bernadette Lauritzen said. “You can buy a cup of coffee, perhaps some baked goods, pick up a nomination form for the Community Asset Awards, buy supplies for elementary school, hand-on science lessons, or pick up great gifts our seniors will have for sale.”
Small Business Saturday is sponsored by Enterprise Bank & Trust and the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce/MainStreet programs. The event is designed as a wonderful opportunity to see the community’s holiday dollars stay local and benefit small businesses and nonprofits. To learn more, call 505 (695) 9139  anytime.
