It’s Bill Nye Experiment Night at the Bradbury Science Museum! On Friday, Nov. 15 teens are invited to the Bradbury to perform experiments featured in Bill Nye videos at an event hosted by the Bradbury Science Museum Association Teen Advisory Board. We always watched Bill Nye videos in elementary school, but never got to do the fun experiments–now we can. The event will also have free food!
The BSMA Teen Advisory Board was created last year by Los Alamos High School senior Eleanor Henderson for her Girl Scout Gold Award project. She is currently president of the Board, and other board members include Emily Holmes (Vice President), Neha Sadasivan (Secretary/Treasurer), Ogden Berry (BSMA Liaison), Noah Lyons (Public Relations/Advertising Officer), Sonya Svyatskaya, Natalie Aulwes, Steven Bullock, Samuel Cirigliano, Filippo Delzanno, Victor Popa-Simil, and Malea Joyce.
The Teen Advisory Board hopes to increase teen interest in the Bradbury as well as in STEM, and they are looking forward to making a positive impact in the Los Alamos community. Additionally, applications are being accepted until Nov. 30 for posiitions on the board. Applicants must be in high school-aged.
