COUNTY NEWS

The Community Development Advisory Board (CDAB) will be holding an open house event at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 7 at the Municipal Building in County Council Chambers.

This event will be for public outreach and information gathering. The Board will be informing the public about the issues Board members are currently working on and gathering public input.

Major topics that have been identified as problem areas of the county nuisance code will be set up for discussion and public comment. Board members will be present to answer questions and discuss possible solutions with the public as well as discuss any area of the nuisance code that the citizens of the county may like or dislike.

The major topics that will be a focus area for the discussions are:

  • Weeds ordinance
  • Outdoor storage of materials
  • Inoperable vehicles

There are other ways to make sure all voices are heard. Residents can contact the Board by email at cdab.cdd@lacnm.us or make public comment at regular meetings on the third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in Room 110 of the Municipal Building.

Board members look forward to hearing from all residents on these issues and appreciate any time individuals can take to help Board members understand the community’s priorities for code enforcement.
