Head to the Los Alamos Nature Center on Tuesday, July 9 for an evening of fun and free programming for the whole family. The evening will begin with a Family Star Party at 5:30 p.m. in the planetarium. Astronomer Galen Gisler will show the audience constellations, planets and more. Then, join Melissa Mackey outside at Family Night to enjoy games, activities or crafts. Family Night runs from 6 to 7 p.m.
Both of these events are free to attend thanks to the Pajarito Environmental Education Center’s sponsors. New Mexico Bank & Trust sponsors the monthly Family Star Parties and Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos sponsors Family Nights. These programs take place on the second Tuesday of every month at the nature center. The nature center is open until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, so families are welcome to come before or stay after these programs to play.
