Northern New Mexico nonprofit agencies will learn how to access funds from Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos (N3B) at a community forum at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at Los Alamos’ Fuller Lodge.

The purpose of the meeting is to present funding guidelines for N3B’s Community Contributions Program and to answer questions about how to submit a request for funding.

A similar meeting will be held in Espanola at a later date.

N3B manages the Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract for the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Environmental Management’s Los Alamos Field Office. The company has pledged to donate five percent of its annual fee for managing the cleanup contract to Northern New Mexico nonprofit agencies and organizations.

N3B is a limited liability company owned by HII Nuclear, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, and BWX Technologies.
