LACD NEWS

The Los Alamos Creative District is teaming up with local organizations to create the first Downtown Creative Crawl and Museum Monday this February. The Downtown Creative Crawl will take place on Friday, Feb. 1 and will be followed by Museum Monday on Monday, Feb. 4.

Both of the events will be held within the Creative District and are intended to foster collaborative community programming with a shared theme in order to encourage locals and visitors to spend more time downtown.

The Downtown Creative Crawl will highlight various gallery exhibitions and music, while Museum Monday will feature the more historical aspects of the community, from established brick-and-mortar museums to special pop-up exhibits and installations, as well as special Atomic City Tours of the Los Alamos Historic District and the town itself.

All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted. No reservations are required.

“Encouraging collaborations and supporting each other’s events is really important in our creative community,” said Jennifer Loveless, Los Alamos Creative District Curator and Event Manager. “We have so many wonderful things that happen in town and sometimes it is hard when they have to compete against one another.”

The full event schedules and Downtown Creative Crawl map, which are subject to change, can also be found on the Creative District website at www.CreativeLosAlamos.com or at each of the participating locations.
