When Maggie Meier joined the Interfaith Coalition on Homelessness more than a year ago, she was asked to become the community educator for the group and she dove in with both feet.

The result is a presentation that is a continual work in progress that is relflective of how she began to lose her own stigma about homelessness. Meier told the group she has always been interested in social justice but had never really looked specifically at homelessness.

Now, she is an experienced speaker on and advocate for the homelessness and her most recent presentation can be viewed in its entirety on the above YouTube video. It’s one of those presentations that will really make you think, give you information you have never heard before about the issue and will more than likely look at homeless people in the community in a whole new way. Each time you hear Maggie speak, you will take away something different.

Feel free to share the video withothers and maybe arrange to have Maggie Meier speak to a group you belong to in the community. For more information, go to https://icohnm.org/
