Jason Chappel: Thank You, Los Alamos

BY JASON CHAPPEL

As election results are finalized, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who supported my campaign and placed their confidence in me.

While the outcome was not what I hoped for, running for County Council has been an incredibly meaningful experience. Over the past several months, I’ve had the opportunity to meet residents, hear their concerns, listen to different perspectives, and have conversations about the future of the community we all call home.

To everyone who voted for me, thank you. Your confidence in me is something I will never take for granted.

To my volunteers, supporters, donors, friends, and family: thank you for standing beside me, encouraging me, contributing your time and resources, and believing in what we were trying to accomplish. A campaign is never one person’s effort, and I could not have done this without you.

I also want to congratulate the candidates who earned the confidence of the voters and will be moving forward. I wish them success as they take on the responsibility of serving our community.

Throughout my campaign, I have spoken about Building Bridges, Empowering Citizens. That was never intended to be just a campaign slogan. It reflects how I believe local government should work: by listening, bringing people together, encouraging participation, and remembering that public service is ultimately about the people we represent.

Although I may not be taking a seat on County Council, my commitment to Los Alamos won’t change. I will continue to care about this community, participate in conversations that shape its future, and advocate for the things that make Los Alamos a wonderful place to live.

Thank you, Los Alamos, for giving me the opportunity to be part of this process. It has been /an honor to put my name forward and an experience I will always value.

Still committed to our community!
