David Hampton: Thank You Los Alamos County!

BY DAVID HAMPTON
Councilor-Elect
Los Alamos County

First, I want to thank the individual voters of Los Alamos County for their support of me in this year’s County Council election. During the campaign, I had the privilege of visiting more than 4,000 households and discussing with many their concerns about the County. I got to meet so many new people and look forward to representing you for the next 4 years.

Second, a big thank you to all of this year’s poll workers and the staff of the County Clerk’s office. As usual, they did an outstanding job running our election locally. They are a shining example of what free and fair elections should look like and a model for our democratic process.

Third, much love to all those who helped out with my campaign, those who encouraged me, those who I consulted with, those who donated to my campaign, those who put up my signs, and especially to my wife Lisa who persevered through all that is required of a campaign and a candidate’s spouse, helping me in so many different ways.

Fourth, thank you to our local news sources, Los Alamos Reporter, the Los Alamos Daily Post, Stephanie Nakhleh (We Can Have Nice Things), Boomtown, as well as the League of Women Voters, for bringing up and helping to explain issues to the voters in various ways and for creating opportunities for candidates to reach the voters.

And finally, I want to thank all my fellow candidates from every party who were willing to put their names out there to serve our community, and congratulate those who were elected.
