A power outage is scheduled for Thursday, October 29 that will impact the Ponderosa Estates community from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to re-route electrical lines for the new Fire Station 4.
Crews will be preparing for the outage on Tuesday and Wednesday to make the outage of Thursday go as efficiently as possible.
Given the duration of the power outage, DPU recommends that customers do not open their refrigerators or freezers. These units should maintain their temperature for four hours as long as the doors stay shut. Customers might consider moving more perishable items to the freezer during this outage or putting more frequently used items in a cooler. For more food safety tips, visit https://www.foodsafety.gov/
