Los Alamos Arts Council Presents Pumpkin Glow And Farther Along Folk Festival Saturday, Oct. 24

LAAC NEWS RELEASE

The heat has officially turned on in Fuller Lodge, which can mean only one thing: it’s time for Pumpkin Glow!

Meet us at the Fuller Lodge for the Pumpkin Glow on October 24, 2026. Every year, thousands of people gaze in wonder at glowing visions of scary creatures, funny faces, cute animals, and fancy flowers. We encourage people of all ages and artistic talent to participate because anyone can carve a pumpkin!

This year, we are proud to present the inaugural Farther Along Folk Festival on the same day at the Fuller Lodge. Featuring six Northern New Mexican folk music groups, this event will take place from 12-5 PM on Saturday, October 24th at the Fuller Lodge. Student groups will be present selling snacks to fundraise for their organizations.

All events this day are free and open to the public thanks to the generous support of our title sponsor, N3B, as well as the Board of the Los Alamos Arts Council. We are grateful for their support of the arts.

Full Schedule:

10 AM – 12 PM:‍ Carving Party at Fuller Lodge. First 60 pumpkins are free (one per family please). Bring your own pumpkin or buy one from the LAHS Choir Pumpkin Patch.

12 PM – 5 PM: Drop off your pumpkin to be displayed during the glow, and check out the Farther Along Folk Festival!

5 PM – Dusk: Pumpkin Toddle. We will have our paths set up for the tiniest visitors who may not want to be out after dark. Bring the littles early to beat the crowds and the spookies.

Dusk – 9 PM: Pumpkin Glow!

8:30 – 9 PM: Pick up your pumpkins or leave them to be taken over for compost.

Make time in your schedule for some art, and we hope to see you soon!
