Third Time’s A Tradition: Samizdat Welcomes The Spill, Live Storytelling, Back Monday, Oct. 19

SAMIZDAT NEWS RELEASE

What began as a single evening of personal storytelling is becoming a community tradition. On Monday Oct. 19, at 6 p.m., Samizdat Bookstore and Teahouse will host the third installment of its live storytelling series, featuring a mix of returning favorites and new voices sharing true stories from their own lives.

After two well-attended evenings, the series has built a loyal and growing audience of neighbors, regulars, and first-time visitors. As in past editions, the night will take place alongside the bookstore’s Monday Supper Club, known to its devoted following as “Bean Night,” so guests can settle in with a warm meal before the stories begin.

“Three events in, it still amazes me how generously people share their stories and how warmly this community listens,” said Jillian Rubio, creator and host of the series. “Every evening leaves the room a little closer, and we can’t wait to do it all over again.”
