Obituary: Mark William Myatt Jan. 8, 1963 – Oct. 3, 2026

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mark William Myatt, age 63, who passed away October 3, 2026 after a long battle with Multiple Systems Atrophy-Parkinson’s. He passed peacefully at his home in Los Alamos, New Mexico, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born January 8, 1963, in Bedford, England, a son of Grace Myatt and the late John William Myatt. In 1972, he moved to America with his parents and two younger brothers, Andrew Myatt and Wayne Myatt. Mark’s passion for interesting challenges led him to work across America, moving back and forth between California and South Carolina, to Washington, Colorado, and finally to New Mexico where he settled in Los Alamos. He was a proud engineer, a skilled leader, and a caring father. He happily put his all into work, but in his free time, he loved to go camping, play games, and spend time with his children.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice Schneeweiss-Myatt; four sons, Simon Myatt of Eureka, California, Colin Myatt, Kyllean Myatt, and Kieran Myatt of Los Alamos, New Mexico; and two daughters, Tabetha Myatt of Seattle, Washington and Kiara Myatt of Los Alamos, New Mexico.

A memorial service will be held for Mark on November 7, 2026, at 2:00PM in the Kiva Chapel of Light in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Letters and flowers may be mailed to Beatrice at 120 Yosemite Drive, White Rock, NM 87547.
