PEEC NEWS RELEASE
The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) invites families to stop by the Los Alamos Nature Center for PEEC‐A‐BOO on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, from 4 to 6 PM.
This free, sensory‐friendly Halloween event is part of the Trick‐or‐Treat on MainStreet festivities and offers extended hours at the nature center for one evening only.
PEEC‐A‐BOO features a mix of indoor and outdoor activities that bring the season’s spooky fun to life in a gentle, family‐friendly way. Visitors can enjoy spooky creature encounters with animals that live in and around the nature center at 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM, along with hands‐on activities, Halloween crafts, campfire storytime, and spooky cartoons in the planetarium.
And, of course, there will be candy.
This event is designed with sensory‐friendly considerations in mind, offering multiple activity options and spaces where families can participate in whatever way feels comfortable.
