County To Host Hybrid Informational Session On MRA And LEDA Programs At 1 PM Thursday

COUNTY NEWS RELEASE

Los Alamos County will host a hybrid informational session on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 1 p.m. in Room 110 of the Los Alamos County Municipal Building, 1000 Central Ave., and online. The session will give local businesses, property owners and community members an overview of the County’s Metropolitan Redevelopment Area (MRA) and Local Economic Development Act (LEDA) programs.

The County has designated two MRAs: the White Rock Town Center MRA in 2023 and the East Downtown Los Alamos MRA in September 2025. Under LEDA, the County also offers financial incentives for Economic Development projects, including grants of up to $100,000 through its Retail LEDA program.

Staff will cover how the programs work, eligibility requirements, available incentives, and the application process. Staff will also discuss how MRA and LEDA tools can support business investment and redevelopment projects in the County. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn how the programs may apply to current or future projects.

Event details and virtual attendance information are available at lacnm.com/MRALEDASession. For more information about the MRA and LEDA programs, contact the Community Development Department at economicdevelopment@losalamosnm.gov.
