PEEC NEWS RELEASE

The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) invites the community to the next Climate Café on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 6:30–8 PM at the Los Alamos Nature Center. This free, facilitator‐guided gathering offers a welcoming space for adults to reflect on their emotional responses to a changing climate and to connect with others navigating similar feelings.

October’s Climate Café creates room for shared experiences, gentle conversation, and supportive practices that foster mental wellness and climate resilience. Participants are invited to engage at their own comfort level as we explore climate‐related emotions together. Light refreshments, coffee, and tea will be available.

Preregistration is encouraged, and drop‐ins are welcome. Because conversations may
include emotionally complex topics, this program may not be appropriate for children
under 16.

This gathering is part of PEEC’s ongoing Climate Café series, continuing through the
fall:

November Climate Café: Forest Bathing on Monday, November 2, 6:30 to 8 PM

● Explore climate emotions outdoors through a gentle, sensory‐based forest
bathing experience.
