Los Alamos County is asking for all households to take part in the 2026 National Community Survey. The online survey is open to everyone on September 30, 2026 through October 18. You can take the survey on Polco’s website.

The County has partnered with Polco—a national leader in providing data-driven insights—to conduct the 2026 National Community Survey (NCS) on government services and the quality of life in the community. This tool allows more people to participate in the shaping of the future of Los Alamos County as the County Council will review the results when establishing their 2027 Strategic Priorities in November.

“We look forward to hearing from all community members, so we can understand how our efforts are landing and how we’re doing on the Council’s Strategic Priorities to improve this wonderful community,” said County Manager Anne Laurent. “The survey also gives us guidance on what issues or concerns we need to address.”

The NCS was developed by the National Research Center at Polco. This statistically significant survey captures opinions on the economy, mobility, community design, utilities, safety, natural environment, inclusivity, engagement, and other elements of Los Alamos’s overall livability. The results will show Los Alamos’s strengths, areas of improvement, and what matters most to residents. The survey also shows how our County performs compared to other communities across the country.
