I am submitting a chart that summarizes my own personal take on the 2026 Comprehensive Plan, as well as page 67 of the Plan. It uses words like “public participation” and “public investment,” which imply something voluntary and good. In reality, however, the community is being forced into this plan, which will not end well for residents and our small businesses. Who wants a town that caters to the ultra-wealthy while driving out the middle class, local shops, restaurants, and doctors/health care providers? Will everyone be forced off the hill to access goods and services? This is where we are headed; we may already be there.
I urge all residents to attend the two upcoming P&Z meetings on the Comprehensive Plan Update: Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 5:30 pm and Oct. 7, at 5:30 pm.
