Update On NM 502/Trinity Drive Safety And ADA Improvements – Oppenheimer To Knecht

Construction Is Continuing – Update for September 21-25, 2026

Haase Contracting Company is working on eastbound Trinity Drive from Oppenheimer Drive Knecht Street and on westbound Trinity Drive from 20th Street to Oppenheimer Drive. Regular construction hours are Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Construction operations

Crews have extended the work zone on the south side of Trinity Drive (eastbound) to the full project area. Eastbound traffic is reduced to one inside lane from Oppenheimer Drive to Knecht Street. On the north side of Trinity Dive (westbound) Trinity Drive is reduced to one inside lane from 20th Street to Oppenheimer Drive.

Crews are continuing work on sidewalks, curb and gutter and a new water line on the south side of Trinity Drive and a new gas line, curb and gutter and sidewalks on the north side of Trinity Drive. Access is being maintained to all businesses on both sides of Trinity Drive.

Trinity Drive

  • Eastbound traffic is reduced to one inside lane from 20th Street to Oppenheimer Drive
  • Westbound traffic is reduced to one inside lane from Oppenheimer Drive to Knecht Street

20th Street is open south of Trinity Drive.

  • Open: The bus stop at 20th Street and Trinity Drive is open
  • Open: The bus stop at Elks Lodge, 1601 Trinity Drive, is open
  • Open: The bus stop in front of O’Reilly Auto Parts, 2373 Trinity Drive, is open
  • Open: The bus stop in front of Sonic Drive-In, 1695 Trinity Drive, is open
  • Closed: The bus stop in front of the fuel stations at Smith’s Food & Drug, 751 Trinity Drive, is closed
  • Closed: The bus stop at Oppenheimer and Trinity Drive is closed

Construction on Trinity Drive from Oppenheimer to Timber Ridge (nearby but not part of this project)

Crews are continuing to remove sidewalk and install conduit on the south side of Trinity Drive.
