I was pleased to read David Izraelevitz’s full-throated support for a burgeoning Surveillance State. In the past I found it difficult to unravel his particular political proclivities. But after reading his letter, I now understand that he apparently holds a fascination for authoritarian principles and simply does not understand the concept of personal Liberty. In my opinion, this makes him wholly unsuited for any public office in America, including dog catcher.

But I do thank Mr. Izraelevitz for his candor. I wish all politicians would so clearly explicate their opinions on the issues of the day.
