SBDC-LOS ALAMOS NEWS RELEASE
Tycoolz is excited to announce that its premium frozen dog treats are now available in-store at the Los Alamos Co-Op Market, giving local pet owners a convenient new place to purchase products and bring joy to their four-legged friends.
Tycoolz makes handcrafted frozen dog treats using thoughtfully selected ingredients that reflect a commitment to giving our pups the highest quality foods. The product line includes Beef Heart, Pure Beef Liver, Pumpkin & Honey, and Wild-Caught Sardine & Salmon. Tycoolz encouragespet parents to celebrate everyday occasions with clean, cool treats made with just 3-5 thoughtful ingredients, and free from artificial flavorings, colors, and preservatives.
“Tycoolz was created out of my love for dogs and a desire to give them something as good and pure as they are. Being able to share our mission with the Los Alamos community is incredibly meaningful to me,” said Pha Lo, Founder of Tycoolz. “I am so grateful to the Los Alamos Co-Op Market for welcoming Tycoolz and to the Small Business Development Center in Los Alamos for helping us reach more New Mexico dog lovers.”
The story behind Tycoolz began with “Ty,” a beloved super mutt, who inspired the company’s name and mission. After Ty developed a serious illness later in life, his family began taking a closer look at what they were feeding their dogs and returned to the idea of using simple, natural foods. Although there was not enough time to change the outcome for Ty, the experience profoundly influenced his family and became the driving force behind Tycoolz.
Today, the company’s mission, “Treat Dogs Right®,” is rooted in the belief that the time owners have with their dogs is precious and that everyday moments, from the reward after a walk to aquiet moment together, deserve to be celebrated.
Tycoolz will also be participating in the Los Alamos Single Track bike event on Saturday, Sept. 19, where attendees and their canine companions can stop by the Tycoolz tent for a special taste-testing menu for pups. The VIP (Very Important Pup) tasting will give local dogs an opportunity to sample a selection of Tycoolz offerings and discover their favorites while their humans enjoy the event.
Through local retail partnerships and community events, Tycoolz is proud to be part of the
growing Los Alamos small-business community. They are actively expanding their product line throughout New Mexico with plans to scale in the Denver, Phoenix, and Chicago markets.
