The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) and New Mexico Wild invite the community to a special book‐tour event celebrating the newest addition to the Wild Guide collection: Wild Waters: Passport to New Mexico’s Rivers. The program will
take place on Thursday, September 10 from 6 to 7:30 PM MT at the Los Alamos Nature Center.

This engaging evening will feature Bjorn Fredrickson, Conservation Director for New Mexico Wild, who will guide attendees through the stories, science, and significance of the Land of Enchantment’s rivers. From whitewater corridors and native trout streams to quiet canyon oases, New Mexico’s waterways shape ecosystems, communities, and recreation across the state.

Fredrickson will highlight selections from Wild Waters, which showcases more than 40 river segments across eight major watersheds, offering detailed information on access points, ideal seasons, and each river’s ecological and recreational importance.

The guide encourages readers to explore New Mexico’s most extraordinary river stretches and deepen their connection to the landscapes that sustain them.
