Family Strengths Network (FSN) has a new support group for teenagers experiencing grief and loss. Facilitated by Kristine Coblentz and Rumi Sauñe, this group offers a place for teens to process through games, art activities, journaling, connection, and sharing.

Meetings: 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 6:00-7:30 PM at Family Strengths Network – 3540 Orange St. The first meeting will be August 20.

About the facilitators:

*Kristine’s (she/her) experience includes working as a community educator, home visitor, youth mentor, group facilitator, program manager, and general starter of things. She is certified to facilitate a number of prevention programs and has received Bereavement Facilitator Training from The Grief Center.

*Rumi (he or they) has 10 years of experience as a grief facilitator and has mostly worked with teens during that time. He also trains new grief facilitators for the New Mexico Grief Center and has done so for many years. Additionally, he volunteers with the Grief Center’s yearly Camp Corazon as a camp counselor and grief facilitator.
