LAPD NEWS RELEASE

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, at approximately 11:59 p.m., Alamos Police Department officers and Los Alamos Fire Department emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Aragon Avenue and Pruitt Avenue in White Rock, New Mexico, regarding a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.

Upon arrival, officers and medics located a 13-year-old male juvenile and immediately began
lifesaving measures. Despite those efforts, the juvenile succumbed to his injuries shortly after
being transported to Los Alamos Medical Center.

The Los Alamos Police Department’s Investigation and Crash Team units are investigating the
incident. The investigation is in its earliest stages, and the exact circumstances and cause of the accident have not yet been determined.

The Los Alamos Police Department extends its condolences to the juvenile’s family and loved
ones during this difficult time.
