PEEC NEWS RELEASE
The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) is excited for Hot August Birding with the Feminist Bird Club ABQ-SF Chapter. Join PEEC and FBC on August 9 at 7am to admire birds along Los Alamos’s beautiful canyons. This is a wonderful opportunity for both beginners and seasoned birders. Advanced registration is required at peecnature.org/events.
Participants will meet at the Nature Center then proceed to Smith’s where the walk along the Canyon Rim Trail will begin. The group will walk about .75 mi. along the paved trail before returning by 10am. These walks are designed to be welcoming to all experience levels.
Attendees are encouraged to bring binoculars, water, snacks, and an optional camera. A limited number of loaner binoculars will be available.
