SCOUT TROOP 122 NEWS

Brendan Treat, a member of Los Alamos Scout Troop 122 recently completed his Eagle project for Scouts. His Eagle project was to enhance the existing Prayer Walk at the White Rock Baptist Church. This enhancement included installing benches, cleaning up current landscaping and adding berms for erosion control. The benches were created from a free online blueprint using 2 X 8s.

It took multiple Saturdays for Brendan and other volunteers to assemble and stain the benches so they would be ready for installation. Materials for this project were graciously donated by the White Rock Baptist Church.|

One specific thing that Brendan learned during his eagle project was how to build berms. All the work required to enhance the Prayer Walk made him more appreciative of nice landscaping. Brendan would like to thank all the volunteers who donated time and/or materials to help make his Eagle Project a success.
