Three weeks to go before “The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever”! Are your wuthering skills out of date? Have you never wuthered? Don’t know the dance? Not a problem! It’s not about getting it right, it’s about taking part and having fun!

Two optional practice sessions are available for those who are interested. First practice will be at the Mesa Public Library Monday, July 27 and the second will be at the White Rock Library on Thursday, July 30. Both wuthering practices run from 6:00 to 7:00 PM in the libraries’ meeting rooms.

Come out and join us and have fun! Event is free! No dancing skills required. We simply ask participants to RSVP through Eventbrite so we can get a head count.

This year’s Wuthering is on the misty moors of Ashley Pond on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
TMWHDE is based on Kate Bush’s 1978 song, “Wuthering Heights,” which in turn is based on Emily Brontë’s book of the same name. The event originated with “Shambush’s The Ultimate Kate Bush Experience,” presented at the 2013 Brighton Fringe, an alternative arts and music festival in the United Kingdom. It is now a global phenomenon, and we’re hosting the second TMWHDE in New Mexico with kind permission from our Wuthermothers, Shambush.
