At this Tuesday’s Los Alamos County Council Meeting, July 4, 2026 was proclaimed to be the ‘250th Anniversary of American Independence’ in Los Alamos County. The proclamation was presented by County Council Vice Chair Ryn Herrmann, left, to Linda Carol Alt, Regent of the Valle Grande Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, who spoke on the importance of resisting division and the preservation of democracy.
