COUN TY NEWS RELEASE
On May 16, 2026, Los Alamos County held the 4th Annual Northern New Mexico Fair & Rodeo Royalty Court Competition. The competition had seven registrants: two for Jr. Sweetheart, one for Sweetheart, one for Princess, and three for Queen. Each contestant gave a formal speech before a panel of judges and spectators; each contestant had a personal interview with the judges and competed in a horsemanship contest. Below is the crowned court for 2026:
Queen: Jewel Jaramillo
Princess – Annaka Preston
Sweetheart – Jennifer Miera
Jr. Sweetheart – Gaia Jakulewicz
They were all crowned on Saturday, May 16, 2026, by the judges Courtney Gurule and Rebekah Fefino.
The 2026 Northern New Mexico Royalty Court will be presented at the June 12, 2026, Los Alamos Summer Concert and will present throughout the series to help promote the Los Alamos County Fair and Rodeo, scheduled to be held August 7 – 9, 2026.
