CLOSE-KNIT YARN NEWS

Get ready, friends: June 13 is Worldwide Knit-in-Public Day!  WWKIP Day is an annual day set aside to promote awareness of our wonderful craft by doing just that: knitting in public.  Our friends at Samizdat Bookstore and Teahouse have once again graciously agreed to host us on their front porch!  Close-Knit Yarn Co-Op will be there (174 Central Park Square) from 10 AM to 3 PM on Saturday, June 13.  Please join us for a full day of fun!

The tiny toy scavenger hunt begins at 10 AM: find a tiny toy and claim a future CKYC discount!  We’ll also award the occasional random prize throughout the day. (Prizes vary but will be about $25 in value and range from gift cards to handspun yarn.)   In between prizes, we’ll contribute to the Perpetual Scarf–which will serve as a future remembrance–and enjoy various fiber arts demonstrations, including knitting, spinning, and crocheting!  Bring your knitting and join us for an hour or for the whole day.  (Don’t know how to knit?  No worries!  We welcome all crafts.)
