The Family YMCA Los Alamos Teen Center is inviting community members to help support local teens during the upcoming End of Semester De-Stress Week by bringing friendly pets to visit the Teen Center this Wednesday and Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Each semester, the Teen Center hosts relaxing activities, food, and opportunities for teens to unwind during finals week. Visits from animals have consistently been one of the most popular and comforting parts of the program, giving students a chance to de-stress, socialize, and take a break from academic pressures.
Community members with calm, people-friendly pets who would be comfortable interacting with teens are encouraged to contact the Teen Center if they are interested in participating.
For more information or to sign up and what time slots are available, please contact the Los Alamos Teen Center at (505) 695-7415.
