Bee City Los Alamos To Host Native Plant Sale Fundraiser On May 16 At Los Alamos Nature Center

PEEC NEWS RELEASE

Bee City Los Alamos invites the community to its annual Native Plant Sale Fundraiser on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Los Alamos Nature Center. Admission is free, and a wide selection of native plants will be available for purchase.

Funds raised during the sale will support Bee City Los Alamos and its ongoing efforts to promote, protect, and expand habitat for local pollinators. By choosing native plants for home gardens and landscapes, community members can help provide essential food sources and shelter for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects. Native plants offered at the sale are well‐adapted to northern New Mexico’s climate and can help gardeners create resilient, water‐wise landscapes that support biodiversity.

Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and help shoppers select plants suited to their yards and gardening goals.

This event is presented by Bee City Los Alamos, a community outreach project designed to unite people to make their communities better for pollinators, in particular native bees, by adding high-quality habitat and reducing pesticides.
