Sirphey At Bandelier To Host Sierra Nevada Tap Takeover May 2: A Celebration Of Trails, Conservation, And Craft Beer

SIRPHEY NEWS RELEASE

Sirphey at Bandelier is thrilled to announce a special Tap Takeover event featuring the legendary Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. on May 2, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Nestled in the historic Frijoles Canyon, the event invites hikers, locals, and travelers to enjoy world-class brews in the heart of one of the nation’s most iconic landscapes. And one lucky attendee will win a National Parks Pass.

A Partnership Rooted in Preservation
Sierra Nevada’s commitment to the outdoors goes far beyond the glass. The brewery has a long-standing history of generosity toward the National Park Foundation (NPF), including significant annual donations and the recent “Pale Ale Parks Collection” initiative, which directly funds wildlife and habitat conservation. This event celebrates that spirit of stewardship, bringing together two organizations dedicated to honoring the natural beauty of the American West.

The Tap Lineup: From Classics to New Frontiers

Attendees will have the opportunity to sample a curated selection of Sierra Nevada’s finest, including:

Summerfest: a bright lager for everyone ready for long days and warm temps.

Pale Ale: The heavy-hitting classic that launched the craft beer revolution.

New European Pilsner: A crisp, refined lager inspired by traditional German brewing techniques, featuring a smooth malt body and floral hop finish.

Hazy IPA: A juicy, fruit-forward explosion of hops that remains a fan favorite.
Adventure-Ready: The “Trail Pass” Non-Alcoholic Series

Recognizing that many Bandelier visitors are mid-journey, Sierra Nevada will showcase its premier lineup of non-alcoholic beers, including the Trail Pass Golden and Trail Pass IPA. These brews provide the full-bodied flavor of a craft beer with less than 0.5% ABV—perfect for hikers who want to toast their trek through Frijoles Canyon while remaining sharp for their onward journeys to the Valles Caldera, Los Alamos, or Santa Fe.

Food Lineup: Sirphey will feature several of its most popular fusion and snack items.

Pub Classics: Crispy Fish & Chips 🐟

Signature Fusion: Tandoori Chicken Leg, Rajma BBQ Sliders, & our famous Butter Chicken Curry 🍛

The Local Twist: NM Green Chile Reuben ️

The full, dietary-inclusive snack menu will also be available.

Event Highlights

National Parks Raffle: In honor of the partnership, Sierra Nevada will be raffling off an Annual National Parks Pass to one lucky winner.

Worldly Flavors: Sirphey’s full menu will be available, featuring their “super-famous” burgers (including local bison and elk options), international curries, and Hatch green chile specialties.

Stunning Views: Enjoy your pour on the patio as the sun sets over the canyon walls.

“We are honored to host a brewery that gives so much back to the lands we call home,” says Prashant Jain, owner of Sirphey. “It’s the perfect way to bring the community together—great food, great beer, and a shared respect for our National Parks.”
