The Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) invites the community to register now for a special full‐day field trip, the Geologic Tour to the Goblin Colony, happening Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM MT. This popular outing is led by expert geologists Fraser and Cathy Goff and offers a rare chance to explore the diverse volcanic history of the Southeast Jemez Mountains.

Participants will visit several geologic stops along NM Highway 4 before hiking 2.2 miles round‐trip into the Goblin Colony, a striking basin filled with unusual formations of altered Bandelier Tuff. Expect a day of discovery, photography, and deep geologic storytelling.
